Cheryl Savageau, EdD    Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Welcome to Answers in Love!

Hello! I’m Cheryl –  counselor, teacher, speaker and author with 40+ years experience helping individuals, couples, families and groups. I love to integrate sound psychological principles and Biblical truth in ways that help people grow toward effective Christian living.

My experience includes teaching 3000 students at the secondary, college and graduate school levels, 30-years practice as a clinical counselor, founding and directing a church counseling program, supervising beginning counselors, conducting 150 workshops in churches and at national conventions and co-authoring Parents of Missionaries (Intervarsity Press).

I regard my decision to follow Christ, my 40-year marriage and raising two great children who each married wonderful partners as my greatest achievements. I consider my stunningly-beautiful granddaughters and heart-breakingly handsome grandsons as my greatest blessings. My husband and I live in Greenville, South Carolina, hail from Ohio and always root for the Buckeyes.

The content you’ll find here will feature Godly, loving answers to the kinds of puzzles and problems people bring to a Christian counselor. Every post will  reflect the two great truths I’ve learned over time:

  •  Intentional love of God, others and self leads to the best  life.
  •  Failure to intentionally love God, others and self brings pain.

I hope this website helps you win at life God’s way.  Bi-weekly posts will explore loving solutions to all kinds of relationship problems and personal growth challenges. The site will also provide information about other resources that can help you master life skills.

Please join me as I explore the breadth, heights and depths of proactive love. I hope you’ll stay connected here. I want to know what concerns you and keep the site responsive to your needs.

I look forward to hearing from you! Sign up on this site’s Homepage to receive my newsletter and a copy of the PDF, How To Talk About A Problem Without Starting A Fight.
